Meet Clare: bag lover, mum, business owner
Like most people, I’ve worn a fair few hats — flipping burgers at McDonald’s, working in a bank, training as a sports therapist, and somehow always finding my way back to accounting.
But for now, I work for a large multinational company, but it was my time working with small businesses that planted a seed. Hearing their stories made me wonder if maybe, one day, I could build something of my own.
That idea properly took root in a pretty unexpected way. Through bags.

I started casually selling old clothes and accessories on Vinted, and to my surprise, it wasn’t the clothes that flew — it was the bags. Affordable, beautiful pieces from brands like Coach, Diesel, and Kate Spade. Items that made people feel special without draining their savings.
I’d chat about my sales with my son on the school run, and one rainy Tuesday, he turned to me and said, “Mum, you could actually make a business out of this.” And that was it. The idea landed.
A business built from a side hustle, a spark of confidence, and the dream of building a life with more space for the things — and people — that matter.

I’m a full-time working mum to an incredible, neurodiverse son. Getting him the help he needed hasn’t been easy — in fact, it’s been the biggest fight of my life. Not the acceptance part, but the endless battle to get him seen, heard, and supported in the way he deserves. After seven long years, we’re finally in a good place. He’s thriving at school, and I couldn’t be prouder.
But life’s chaotic. And like so many mums, I find it hard to be truly present in the moments that matter. This little business isn’t just about bags. It’s about creating something for myself that offers freedom, flexibility, and the energy to keep showing up for my son — because if I don’t fight for him, nobody else will.
That’s what drives me. And that’s what this blog is about.

The real, unfiltered story of starting a business on the side
-
The wins, mistakes, and lessons learned
-
Beautiful, authentic designer bags without the eye-watering price tag

And yes — little moments about motherhood, resilience, and building a life on your own terms
Whether you’re here because you love bags, love a bargain, or you’re dreaming of starting something for yourself, I’m glad you found your way here.
Here’s to owning beautiful things — and building beautiful lives.
